Mr. Ashish Poudel is a forestry undergraduate from the Institute of Forestry, Tribhuvan University, Pokhara, and currently working as a scientific writing intern at Gandaki Province Academy of Science and Technology. His duties at the academy primarily include; supporting ongoing projects and research activities, developing various informational materials, assisting in research proposals, and writing technical documents.

 Before his involvement at the GPAST, he worked as the district head of Green Rangers Earth, Pokhara, and as a team member of Rewild Institute, Vienna. In addition, he has a long-term research interest in Natural Resources Management.  With his experience and interest, he aspires to be a conservationist and natural resource manager.

Presently, he is working as a forest officer in Bagmati Province.
