Dr. Niranjan Koirala, Nepal born researcher earned his Ph.D. from South Korea (2016) and Postdoctoral fellowships from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, Mexico (2018) and University of Macau, Macau SAR, China (2020). His research skills and interests are in genome guided mining, gene isolation using PCR, cloning and protein purification, metabolic engineering, metabolic co-factor channeling, synthesis using enzyme biocatalysis, bioprocess-fermentation technology, secondary metabolites extraction from plants and microbes, testing biological activities focusing on metabolic disorders, UASB reactor, HPLC, ESI-MS, GC-MS, and NMR. He has delivered 20+ invited lectures in 10 different countries, published above 50 original articles in reputed peer-reviewed journals, peer-reviewed for more than 150 journal articles, holds 4 issued South Korean patents and with global citations of above 2000 he has h-index 20 as of 2023.

Dr.  Koirala has been awarded the best poster presentation awards and best oral presentation awards in the International conferences; Nepal Bidhya Bhushan “A” medal from the honorable President of Nepal; Science and Technology Youth Award from the honorable Prime minister of Nepal, Dean’s Choice award by Sun Moon University, South Korea; BRICPL Young Scientist award by Biologix Research and Innovation Center, India to name a few selected ones. He is a member and observer of Nepal for the International Association of Dietetic Nutrition and Safety, Phytochemical Society of Asia, International Chemical Biology Society and a lifetime member of Biotechnology Society of Nepal. Dr Koirala is serving in several journals as an editorial and reviewer board member. Dr. Koirala is currently working as the research scientist for Gandaki Province Academy for Science and Technology, and as a consultant scientist for several private organizations.
