Research Associate

Kalyan Pantha joined GPAST as a Research Associate in February 2022. Mr. Pantha is a trained water professional whose work is highly relevant to achieving SDG 6 (clean water and sanitation). Particularly he has been involved in research on Water quality surveying, mapping, and communicating the water-borne hazards. He holds an MSc in Water Science from the University of Duisburg Essen, Germany. Besides, he has a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He worked as a Research Assistant at the Leibniz Institute for Analytical Science, one of the renowned research centers in Germany and the Institute of Energy and Environmental Technology, Germany. Before joining GPAST, he worked as a Research Associate at the Group for Rural Infrastructure Development (GRID), Nepal where he was involved in writing proposals as well as developing and implementing projects on WASH, Renewable Energy, Livelihood and Environment. Apart from research he enjoys cooking, traveling and skating.
